Sembang United works because fans can disagree and still talk. These rules apply to comments, ratings, profiles and anything else you post here. BM, English or rojak are all welcome.
THE RULES
1. Banter yes, abuse no
Argue about tactics, signings and ratings all you like. Personal attacks on other members are not allowed.
2. No racism, religious insults or attacks on royalty
Keep it about football. Anything that attacks people over race, religion or royalty (the "3R") is removed, and it can get you banned immediately. The use of vulgar words or profanities will not be tolerated.
3. No threats or harassment
This includes players, staff, referees, journalists and their families. Criticise performances, not people's lives.
4. One account per person, honest ratings
Ratings only mean something if each fan votes once. Multiple accounts or organised vote-rigging get the votes removed and the accounts banned.
5. No spam, betting or illegal streams
No advertising, referral links, betting tips or betting links, and no links to illegal match streams.
6. Respect privacy
Don't post anyone's personal details, private messages or photos without their permission.
7. Keep it legal
Nothing defamatory, nothing that breaks Malaysian law, and no copied articles or videos from other sites. Short quotes with credit are fine.
HOW MODERATION WORKS
These rules also apply to the Matchday live chat. Comments and chat messages are monitored with the help of AI, which flags possible breaches for an admin to review. All moderation decisions are made by Sembang United admins.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BREAK THEM
- First time: your post is removed and you get a warning.
- Second time: a 7-day break from commenting and rating.
- Third time: your account is closed.
Serious breaches, including threats, hate, 3R content and vote-rigging, can mean an immediate ban. Moderation decisions are made by Sembang United admins. If you think a decision was wrong, email hello@sembangunited.com and it will be looked at again.
